소영은 이미 병으로 인해 죽은 몸이지만, 그래도 세상에 대한 아쉬움이 많아 아직도 이 세상에서 살아가고 있는 소녀이다. 생전에 하지 못했던 일들을 해보며 자기 나름대로의 생활을 하고있다.

민규는 밑바닥 조직원...이 생활 탈출을 꿈꾸며 윗사람들의 상품을 훔친다. 그러나 그일은 쉽게 발각이 되어버리고, 민규는 동료들에게 잘못을 추궁당하다가 동료에 의해 우발적인 죽음을 당한다. 이를 소영이 목격하게 되는데...

Although So-young died from a disease, she still stays around here with much affection for the world. She lives her daily life doing things she was never able to do during her life time. Min-kyu is a gangster. He steals things from his senior gang members with a hope to escape from there someday. But he gets caught soon, and he gets killed by accident while he was interrogated by the other gang members. So-young witnesses his death.

영화나 소설들을 보면서 드는 의구심 하나...왜 죽은 사람들은 항상 공포의 대상이 되어야 할까? 난 죽어서도 이곳에 머물고자 하는 사람이라면, 이 곳에 대한 증오와 미움보단 사랑과 애착을 가지고 있는 것이라고 여겨진다. 그런 사람들 (ghost) 의 이야기를 하고 싶었다.

I always have this question when I see a movie or read a fiction; why are the dead always the object of terror? I think if someone wishes to stay here (after he dies), he must have much more affection and love for this world than hatred. That;s what I want to show: whatghosts want to stay.
