한국에서 온 필름메이커 "나"는 어느날 시카고의 기차 안에서 생활을 하고 있는 JAMES라는 Homeless을 만나게 된다. 그를 따라다니며 촬영을 하면서 "나"는 시카고 가 인종 과 부에 따라 내부적으로 분리되어진 모습을 보게 되고 그리고 이 "분리"는 오래 전부터 계획되어진 것을 깨닫게 된다.

촬영을 끝마칠 무렵 "나"는 James와 진정한 의사소통을 하려고 시도하지만 "나" 자신이 가지고 있는 계급적 한계와 대상을 자의적으로 이용하려는 작가적 욕심때문에 실패를 한다.

A foreign filmmaker as I meet a homeless in train in Chicago.His name is James and usually stay at train just to sleep. While I am filming him, I found out that Chicago is the very segregated city and this segregation was highly designed from long times ago. When I almost finish filming him, I try to communicate with James. However, I fail to do it because I, as a filmmaker and privileged person, try to manipulate James.

시카고는 미국의 가장 부유하고 아름 다운 도시 중 하나인 동시에 인종, 부의 정도에 따라 가장 분리 되어진 도시이다.나는 이러한 모순 을 영화제작용어 중 "Out of Sync"을 들어 묘사하려 했다.

Chicago is one of the most beautiful and richest cities in America. However, it is also one of the most segregated cities over the world. I tried to describe this discrepancy by "Out of Sync" in film production.
